With all of the focus on social networking, facebook and twitter it seems that blogging has lost some of its appeal. So should you still consider blogging? Is it worthwhile? YES and YES!
Blogging has still shown to give some of the best Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) results. Google has taught us that content is KING when it comes to page ranking, but make sure that what you are blogging is relevant and interesting to your audience so it attracts traffic and encourages people to comment, re-post and share your information.
The rise of social networking has reshaped the way we communicate and connect. Facebook and Twitter are now accepted by many as a way to share and stay in touch, so when building a website, it is important to consider what we have learnt from social networking to make a website "engaging" for visitors and easy to connect to.
This week I am working on a new website that will include it's own "network", allowing people with a common interest in agriculture in WA to join, discuss and share. The network will be set up using the JomSocial component which means visitors can sign up or login using their facebook profile.
